There has been a lot of speculation over the future of Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, and Bayern Munich are now reportedly eyeing him up.

That’s according to journalist Ben Jacobs, who has claimed that the goalkeeping situation at Bayern Munich means that the German champions are on the lookout for a new keeper.

Manuel Neuer is injured and 37 years old, with his backup Sven Ulreich 35. Bayern reportedly attempted to sign David Raya during the summer prior to his move to Arsenal, and if he is now set to be the number one under Mikel Arteta, this could open up a move for Ramsdale.

Jacobs has claimed in his Daily Briefing that Ramsdale is a name that is on the radar of Bayern Munich as they aim to solve their goalkeeping issues.

“Bayern are also in the market for a keeper. Sven Ulreich is 35 and Manuel Neuer is 37, so anyone who comes in there will be confident of getting plenty of games in the long run,” he claimed.

“Israeli international Daniel Peretz joined from Maccabi Tel-Aviv in August, but the German champions still want another keeper. They tried and failed for Raya, along with now Real Madrid loanee Kepa Arrizabalaga, and Ramsdale is now certainly a name under consideration.”

Could Ramsdale join Bayern?

Mikel Arteta has insisted that Ramsdale has a part to play as he could rotate his goalkeepers, but there is bound to be plenty of speculation over his future, and if he is not playing regularly by the end of the season he could depart.

Arsenal may be more willing to sell him abroad than to a rival, and Ramsdale could relish the chance to become the number one at a huge club like Bayern Munich.

His England teammate Harry Kane is currently thriving with the Bundesliga Champions, and they may be able to afford a likely high asking price for the 25-year-old.

For now though, Ramsdale may choose to focus on getting back into the Arsenal side before thinking about a move away.
