Arsenal still want to add Eberechi Eze to their ranks this summer, although they may be forced to sanction some departures before moving for the Crystal Palace man.
The Gunners have been active in the market thus far in this window, adding six players worth around £200 million to Mikel Arteta’s squad.
After Gyokeres completed his move to Arsenal and became the sixth of these summer additions, attention turned towards selling players before making a move for Eze.
Andrea Berta is focused on shifting a number of fringe squad members, including the likes of Reiss Nelson, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Fabio Vieira.

West Ham interested in signing Fabio Vieira
Vieira is among the list of names being touted for an Emirates exit this summer.
While a damaged asset due to injuries and a lack of playing time in recent years, the 25-year-old is a player on the Gunners’ books who could actually garner a notable fee.
Arsenal bought the Portuguese playmaker from Porto for £34 million back in 2022, and after making just 49 appearances in two seasons in North London, was sent back to the Primeira Liga on a temporary deal for the duration of the 2024/25 season.
Porto want to sign Vieira permanently, but reportedly cannot afford to meet the Gunners’ hefty asking price.
Thus, Arsenal are looking for interest from elsewhere and, according to journalist Ben Jacobs, West Ham are keen on the attacking midfielder.
“West Ham are exploring several midfielders of their own,” Jacobs said on the Market Madness podcast.
“Bilal El Khannouss, who I mentioned for Al Ahli, is another name they’ve considered. Fabio Vieira is another name at Arsenal, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall as well.
“West Ham have made an inquiry for the Chelsea midfielder. So keep an eye on West Ham United.”
The Hammers are in dire need of an injection of quality in attacking areas after enduring a dire 2024/25 season and after losing Mohammed Kudus to Tottenham.
Vieira would offer this to Graham Potter’s side, with his creative passing from midfield likely to get the best out of the likes of Jarrod Bowen.

Fabio Vieira sale would help Arsenal sign Eberechi Eze
Arsenal remain extremely eager to sign Eze, but acquiring the England international relies on raising funds and creating squad space through sales.
While the Gunners aren’t strapped for cash, the Palace talisman will cost in excess of £60 million, and spending £260 million in one window is certainly excessive given Arsenal’s history.
With a Premier League club now interested in Vieira, the Gunners should be able to extract a significant fee for the player.
| Eberechi Eze’s Premier League Statistics 2024/25 | |
| Appearances | 34 |
| Goals | 8 |
| Assists | 8 |
| Shots per 90 | 3.48 |
| Expected Goals per 90 | 0.36 |
| Key Passes per 90 | 2.01 |
| Expected Assists per 90 | 0.22 |
| Successful Take-ons per 90 | 2.33 |
They certainly won’t make a profit on him, but demanding around £20 million for a creative midfielder with some pedigree on low wages and only just entering his prime is reasonable.
Arteta’s dream summer window is still achievable.
