The January transfer window is still a few months away, but one Arsenal player is already considering an exit.

The Gunners made eight new signings in what was an unprecedented summer transfer window. They were excellent with incomings, but as in previous years, they struggled to get players out the door.

Arsenal have a great squad at the moment, but Mikel Arteta can only pick 11 players to start, which means many others will miss out.

One such player who is nowhere near the top of Arteta’s pecking order is now attracting interest ahead of a potential departure in January.

Gabriel Jesus is ‘seriously considering’ Arsenal exit with West Ham and Everton keen

Gabriel Jesus has been at Arsenal since the summer of 2022.

The Brazilian helped change the mentality of the club along with Oleksandr Zinchenko and played a big part in turning the Gunners into title contenders.

However, injuries have constantly troubled him since the World Cup in Qatar, and he has now been replaced in the Arsenal side.

Arteta has left Jesus out of his Champions League squad, as the forward continues to recover from his knee injury.

Now, Football Transfers have revealed that the Brazil international is ‘seriously considering’ leaving the club in the January transfer window.

Flamengo, in his home country, are monitoring his situation, but Premier League duo Everton and West Ham have made initial enquiries to Arsenal about signing him as well.

Jesus, who was hailed as Arsenal’s most skilful player by Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly, will enter the final 18 months of his contract in January.

Arsenal will struggle to get a good fee for Gabriel Jesus

It is clear that Jesus does not have a future at Arsenal.

Viktor Gyokeres is the first-choice striker now, while Kai Havertz, Leandro Trossard and Mikel Merino are all ahead of him in the pecking order.

Having not played a game since January, Thierry Henry even forgot that Jesus was still at the club. That should tell you everything you need to know about his future.

After all his injuries, and with just 18 months left on his contract, Arsenal will struggle to get a decent fee for Jesus in January.

They will definitely make a loss on the £45 million they paid to sign him, which is a shame, as a 28-year-old Brazil international who has won four Premier League titles should be worth a lot more.
