Bukayo Saka has suffered a hamstring injury in what is a massive blow for Arsenal.

Mikel Arteta confirmed that Saka will be out for many weeks after the club doctors’ initial fears about his injury were confirmed.

Saka’s absence is an enormous blow for Arsenal. The Gunners don’t have a like-for-like replacement for him, and the fact that Raheem Sterling is injured too has made things worse.

Arsenal fans are urging Arteta to strengthen his squad in January. Bringing in cover for Saka until he’s back is an absolute necessity.

Arsenal’s stance on signing Nico Williams in January

Nico Williams has been linked with Arsenal for several months now.

The Gunners were interested in signing the Spain international in last summer’s transfer window, but the winger decided to stay at Athletic Bilbao.

Williams hasn’t had a great season so far. He has scored just two goals, but his talent is unquestionable and we’re sure he will end up in a bigger club sooner or later.

With Saka out injured now, many Arsenal fans have been urging Arteta to sign Williams, who has a release clause of around £50 million.

GiveMeSport have now revealed that Arteta is seriously considering a move to sign a new right-winger in January, but Williams is not a target.

The report claims that ‘Arsenal are not entertaining the possibility of making a move’ for the Euro 2024 winner because ‘they are seeking a good value deal instead of aiming to make a marquee signing’ in the winter window.

That rules out any big-money move next month.

Will Arsenal sign Marcus Rashford to replace the injured Saka?

Marcus Rashford appears to have fallen out of favour under Ruben Amorim at Manchester United.

The Englishman has been dropped in each of the Red Devils’ last three games in all competitions, including the Manchester derby.

A January transfer is likely, but Arsenal Insider exclusively revealed recently that Arsenal have no interest in signing Rashford in the winter window.

Saka’s injury is a huge blow, but it has not changed that stance – GMS back our claim and have stated that Arsenal are not thinking of signing Rashford next month.

It remains to be seen who the Gunners will target once the window opens.
