Viktor Gyokeres is a key target for Arsenal this summer.
The Sweden international has been absolutely incredible for Sporting CP over the last two years and has played a huge part in helping them win back-to-back Portuguese league titles.
Andrea Berta is pushing to sign Gyokeres for Arsenal this summer, and the former Coventry City man may well be the easiest striker to get.
But, Arsenal and every other interested club will have to wait before making an offer.
What Viktor Gyokeres has told his agents to ‘inform’ Arsenal and other interested clubs
Viktor Gyokeres is almost certain to leave Sporting CP this summer.
Many expected the Sweden international to depart last year, but he got into a gentleman’s agreement with Sporting to stay for another campaign.
The 26-year-old has fulfilled his promise, and Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Sporting are ready to sell Gyokeres for just under £55 million.
Arsenal clearly like the Swedish striker, and it won’t be a surprise at all if they launch an official bid for him at any moment now.
But, The Mirror have claimed that the Gunners will have to wait.
That’s because Gyokeres is said to have told his agents to ‘inform’ all the interested clubs not to table a bid for him until Sporting’s season is over.
The Portuguese giants have just one game left – the Taça de Portugal final against Benfica this Sunday.

Viktor Gyokeres or Benjamin Sesko – who should Arsenal sign?
The big debate among Arsenal fans on social media in recent days has been about which striker Mikel Arteta should sign this summer.
Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko are on top of Arsenal’s wish list, but only one of them is likely to be signed before the start of next season.
Sesko has been on the Gunners’ radar for a long time, and the Slovenia international is one of the best strikers of his age in Europe.
But, Sesko is still raw and will potentially need time to adapt to the Premier League if he joins Arsenal this summer.
Gyokeres, on the other hand, is far more complete at the moment, and he has a much better chance of hitting the ground running.
If it were up to us, we would go with Gyokeres over Sesko right now.
