Wrexham are a growing force on the world football stage, and, interestingly, the Welsh outfit have a history with Arsenal.
Indeed, Wrexham and Arsenal do have a history.
Back in 1992, Arsenal were beaten 2-1 by Wrexham in the FA Cup as The Reds recorded one of the biggest upsets in the history of the competition.
Meanwhile, in recent years, Arthur Okonkwo has joined Wrexham from Arsenal where he has been key to their rise through the leagues.
Now, Wrexham coach David Jones has been very complimentary of one of Arsenal’s key players when speaking to Goal.

Wrexham coach hails Declan Rice
Taking part in a challenge for Goal, Wrexham coach, David Jones has been comparing some of the Premier League’s best players.
Arsenal fans may remember Jones from his playing days with the likes of Wolves, Wigan and Burnley.
Jones played against Arsenal on seven occasions during his career, winning once and losing six times.
His one victory actually came as a Manchester United player in a League Cup game back in 2004.
Nowadays, Jones is a coach at Wrexham, and he’s now reserved some special praise for Declan Rice.
Jones was asked to choose between numerous Premier League stars, and he made it very clear that Rice was one of his favourite players.
Indeed, Jones picked Rice over the likes of Erling Haaland, Mohamed Salah and Alexander Isak, before ultimately conceding that Kevin De Bruyne is the best of the bunch.
Declan Rice has been nominated for PFA Player of the Year
It may sound hyperbolic to put Rice ahead of the likes of Haaland or Salah, but, make no mistake about it, the midfielder is now in that sort of conversation.
Indeed, Rice is a world-class player these days, and that’s been shown by the fact he’s received a PFA Player of the Year nomination.
Unfortunately, Mohamed Salah is the hot favourite to win this award so Rice is likely to miss out, but if he keeps up his good form and leads Arsenal to a Premier League title this season, he could well be in the running next year.
