Arsenal star Bukayo Saka sat down for an interview with GQ this week and revealed that he wants to score a Lionel Messi-like goal for us one day.
The young Englishman was featured on the cover of the popular magazine and he answered plenty of questions.
One of them was to pick a great goal scored in the past that he would like to emulate at Arsenal at some point in his career. Saka picked one of Lionel Messi’s greatest-ever strikes.

In his interview with GQ, Saka said when asked to pick a goal he’d like to score: “Because of the moment, I think I would say Leo Messi’s goal in the Copa del Rey final against Athletic Club. The one where he dribbled (past) everyone.
“Now that I play, I can see how hard it is to score that goal. People are trying to kick him, to bring him down in the process, and he just keeps going, and he still scored in the final, as well.
“I was just like, wow. When he says he’s going past you, you’re not stopping him!”

As a left-footed right-winger, there’s no better player for Bukayo Saka to look up to than the greatest player in history, Lionel Messi.
If the young Arsenal man even goes on to become half the player Messi was in his prime, the Gunners may just win everything there is to win in the coming years.
Arsenal take on Southampton this weekend and Saka will once again be our main man. If he can channel his inner Messi and step up against the Saints, we should be able to come away with a comfortable win.
