Andrea Berta produced an incredible summer transfer window for Arsenal, and he hasn’t stopped working since.

The Italian, aside from signing eight new players, has also extended the contracts of several key Gunners stars, including William Saliba.

Berta is working to extend Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice’s deals as well, but along with that, he is building Arsenal’s long-term future.

Reports revealed Arsenal’s interest in the Quintero twins recently, and that deal has now been sealed.

Edwin and Holger Quintero have signed their Arsenal pre-contracts after medical

Edwin and Holger Quintero are two of Ecuador’s biggest talents.

The Independiente del Valle duo are viewed by many as future stars, and Arsenal have decided to sign both of them.

The twins were in London recently to seal their transfer, and Studio Futbol in Ecuador have now shared some more details.

The report claims that the Quinteros both underwent their medical tests in the capital this week and came through them without any issues. Then, they put pen to paper on pre-contracts, which confirms that they will join Arsenal once they turn 18 in 2027.

People inside Arsenal view the signings of the Quintero twins as a ‘masterstroke’ by Berta.

Edwin and Holger, who have both been compared to Ronaldinho, are expected to begin at the academy when they make their move.

If Arsenal’s plans come to fruition, the twins could become superstars alongside other current academy talents in 10 years’ time. Check them out and let us know what you think in the TalkingPoint below!

Arsenal have completely changed their academy approach

For a long time, Arsenal have produced elite homegrown talents in their academy and that has benefited them massively.

The likes of Bukayo Saka, Ethan Nwaneri, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Max Dowman have helped the Gunners save millions on the transfer market.

However, football has reached a stage where just homegrown talents are not enough. Clubs are looking elsewhere to recruit young players before they become popular, and Arsenal have now joined that trend.

Along with the Quintero twins, the Gunners have also struck a deal to sign Victor Ozhianvuna from Shamrock Rovers. He too will join the club in 2027, when he turns 18.

This shows a clear change in strategy from the Arsenal academy, and if it works out, they will become the best team in the world.
