Arsenal’s Hale End academy has seen Marcell Washington, Ceadach O’Neill and Max Dowman all have goals nominated for the club’s Goal of the Month award.

Dowman is the jewel of Arsenal’s academy, and it’s hardly surprising to see the talented youngster produce such a moment of brilliance.

Meanwhile, Washington and O’Neill are also highly rated academy talents and are enjoying promising campaigns with the North London club’s youth sides.

Now, all three teenagers have seen their goals nominated for the November award, and are in strong contention to win.

Marcell Washington, Ceadach O’Neill and Max Dowman have all seen their strikes from last month nominated for Arsenal’s Goal of the Month.

Washington, who is a left-back, scored an impressive goal against Cardiff in the EFL Trophy for Arsenal’s U-21s team, only for the League One team to come from behind to win 3-1 in South Wales.

The 18-year-old made the switch from Cobham and Chelsea to Hale End and Arsenal over the summer, which will already see him endear himself to supporters.

Dowman’s goal against Bayern Munich U-19 probably has the best chance of winning the award, given the individual brilliance shown by the 15-year-old.

Is Max Dowman the most exciting young talent at Arsenal?

The midfielder made it a brace in stoppage time with a truly special strike, as he beat three defenders before producing a mesmerising turn and lifting it over the keeper’s head.

Arsenal are ready to offer Dowman a new scholarship when he turns 16 at the end of the month, with the Gunners seriously hopeful that he can be the next big thing in N5.

Finally, O’Neill’s impressive goal from the halfway line against Norwich City U-18s is another strong nominee.

The 17-year-old winger has produced seven goals and three assists in 14 matches for the U-18s this season.
