Arsenal are looking to snap up young talent across the country ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Gunners have developed the likes of Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri, who have broken into the first team this season, and are eager to acquire more youngsters who can enjoy similar career trajectories.
Max Dowman is the latest to make waves at Hale End, and the North Londoners want the teenage sensation to be accompanied by a similar calibre of starlet to develop alongside.
As well as building for the future, Arsenal’s under-21s currently sit ninth in Premier League 2, and Per Mertesacker and other senior figures in the academy are keen on assembling a side that can push further up the table next campaign under Mehmet Ali.

Arsenal join race to sign Blackburn wonderkid Harvey Higgins
Arsenal are working on various ways of improving their academy, one of which is to seek out some of the hottest prospects in English football.
According to Football Zonei, the Gunners are eyeing Blackburn Rovers’ wonderkid Harvey Higgins.
The 16-year-old is said to be attracting interest from several Premier League clubs, with Arsenal intent on beating their rivals to his signature.
The striker is yet to make his senior debut for the Lancashire outfit but is impressing scouts across the country at youth level.
Already featuring for the under-21s, despite only turning 16 in December, Higgins is performing at a level significantly above his age group.
Arsenal currently lack an emerging striker within their academy, and this deal could help fill this void.

Who is Harvey Higgins?
Harvey Higgins is a striker for Blackburn, who has also spent time out wide throughout his development through the ranks at Ewood Park.
Born in December 2009, he’s already making waves at academy level and could be in line to make his senior debut if he remains in the north-west next season.
Tipped to reach the top of the game, the number nine would be ready to make an impact in Premier League 2 next season if Arsenal are able to secure his services.
However, as the reports suggest, Higgins has multiple suitors looking to pry him away from Blackburn, so the Gunners will have to deliver an impressive pitch, that shows how he has a pathway to the first team, to land him.
