Arsenal have saved millions on the transfer market thanks to their academy.

Hale End has been producing one incredible talent after another over the last few years, and three of them are big stars in the first team now.

Bukayo Saka is the best of them all, and the Arsenal number seven performed brilliantly against Real Madrid over the two legs in the Champions League.

Ethan Nwaneri didn’t get the minutes he would’ve liked against the Galacticos, but his time will come very, very soon.

The other Hale End graduate is Myles Lewis-Skelly, who was absolutely incredible against Real Madrid – both in the first leg as well as the second.

Ian Wright shocked by Myles Lewis-Skelly’s performances at Arsenal

Lewis-Skelly is right up there with the best players of his age in the world.

The 18-year-old wasn’t close to being a regular at the start of the season, but since he got his opportunity, he has left Mikel Arteta with no choice but to keep playing him – he has been that good!

Lewis-Skelly is now Arsenal’s undisputed first-choice left-back, and not even the superstars of Real Madrid could get the better of him.

Ian Wright, who knows Lewis-Skelly from his academy days, has admitted that he was astonished by the teenager and went as far as questioning ‘what’s going on at Hale End’ after watching him play against Real Madrid.

He said on Wrighty’s House: “I’ve got to say, I’m astonished at Myles Lewis-Skelly. I’m astonished by his performances.

“I don’t know if it’s just the exuberance of youth or the fact that he is so wise and he is so knowledgeable and he is so intelligent. And obviously you can see that with him on the football pitch as well.

“But, for him to be playing in a game like that… he locked down Rodrygo, he went inside into the midfield, he was up against Jude Bellingham, and I think he won that battle.

“I’m just thinking to myself, “What’s going on at Hale End?! What have they got in the water with these guys that is coming through?!”, because this is astounding, this is unbelievable what we’re seeing from Myles Lewis-Skelly.”

The next three Hale End wonderkids you should watch out for

Saka is already a superstar, while Lewis-Skelly and Nwaneri are going in the right direction and look all set to emulate the Gunners’ number seven.

But, that’s not all. The Arsenal Academy has more to offer, and here are three exciting youngsters who are showing a lot of promise behind the scenes.
