Arsenal have had some iconic home kits throughout their history, with the vast majority of them featuring predominantly red and white colours.
For most of Arsenal’s history, the shirt has typically been red, with white sleeves and white shorts, but these have varied in style and design in the modern era.
Arsenal’s 2024-25 kit caused controversy as it was deemed that there is too much white on the kit, meaning that Arsenal had to play a North London derby fixture with Tottenham Hotspur in their black away kit.
Whilst not every single home kit was popular, a lot were huge parts of Arsenal’s history, and are associated with famous victories and trophy triumphs.
We’ve listed our top 10 Arsenal home kits, with some twinned with incredible moments, whilst others rank highly simply because of the quality of the kit.
10. Arsenal home kit from 2020-21

Arsenal’s 2020-21 season was a disaster as Mikel Arteta finished in eighth place in his first full season, but the kit was a strong one.
For the first time, the Fly Emirates sponsor became ‘Emirates Fly Better,’ and the shirt featured a unique pattern. Arsenal did win the FA Cup in this kit on the final day of the previous season, but there are few other fond memories of what was a high-quality Adidas kit.
9. Arsenal 1970-71 home kit

Arsenal’s kits in the 1970’s were plain but smart, with the old reversed cannon as the badge, in a simple red and white. Arsenal won the First Division title at Tottenham in 1971 in this iconic home kit, which is still often worn by fans of retro kits at the Emirates Stadium.
8. Arsenal home kit 1986-87

Arsenal finished fourth and won the League Cup in 1987 under legendary manager George Graham, in one of the finest kits of his era.
The original Adidas badge paired well with an old-style cannon, with iconic sponsors JVC on a kit that was perhaps ahead of its time.
7. Arsenal home kit 1992-93

Ian Wright helped Arsenal win a FA Cup and League Cup double in 1993, and he did it in an iconic Arsenal home kit.
With the badge now in the middle of the shirt, below the Adidas symbol and above the JVC sponsorship, blue was also added to parts of this incredible kit, which saw a revival as Arsenal and Adidas recently relaunched it in a modern remake.
6. Arsenal home kit 2022-23

Arsenal enjoyed a productive season in 2022-23 as they unexpectedly challenged for the title, and they did it in style.
The home kit featured a smart collar after several years of circular versions, and featured a sleek design which had a good balance of red, after the previous campaign saw Arsenal line up in a kit with more white than desired by many fans.
5. Arsenal home kit 2001-02

Arsenal won a famous Premier League and FA Cup double in 2002 under Arsene Wenger, and they achieved it wearing one of Nike’s best kits for the club.
The shirt had a good balance of red and white, with black stripes also featuring, whilst it was one of the last kits to have the old style badge before the modern version came out.
With sponsorship from Dreamcast, this is a kit associated with a highly successful Arsenal team, with players such as Freddie Ljungberg and Sol Campbell producing some great moments in it.
4. Arsenal home kit 1995-96

Arsenal’s 1995-96 season was not a memorable one, but the kit certainly was, in the last kit released before Wenger joined the club to make history.
An old-style Nike badge, combined with a smart collar and a diagonal design on the red body, made this a very sleek kit, and one of the finest produced for Arsenal over the years.
3. Arsenal 2010-11 home kit

Arsenal endured a difficult season in 2010-11, but there were some iconic moments, such as Andrei Arshavin’s winner against Barcelona.
The home kit was simply sensational, as Arsenal went back to their roots with a simplistic red and white kit. No extra blue or black, and the basic nature of the design was very popular as it evoked memories of kits from the past.
2. Arsenal home kit 2005-06

Arsenal released a nod back to their roots in 2005-06, as they released a maroon kit rather than one in red and white.
Although Arsenal’s traditional colours are red and white, when they were originally Dial Square FC in the 1800s, they played in maroon.
Nike’s remake saw smartly-designed collars, with the final o2 sponsor in gold, and the Arsenal badge located centrally, in a memorable kit as Wenger’s side reached the Champions League final in their last season at Highbury Stadium.
1. Arsenal home kit, 2003-04

Arsenal’s 2003-04 season was the best in the history of the club. They won their 13th league title, but they had done it unbeaten, with Wenger’s side going down in history as The Invincibles, with no other English side matching the achievement since.
The quality of the home kit matched the football on display, in what has gone down as one of the most recognisable Arsenal kits of all time.
Thierry Henry is most associated with the kit, which featured a perfect balance of red and white, with o2 and Nike sponsorships proving to be some of the best.
