Kai Havertz has earned praise for his performance in Arsenal’s 2-0 win over PSG.
Arsenal were worthy winners against PSG in their Champions League showdown at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.
Kai Havertz produced a scintillating performance, and made a telling contribution as he met Leandro Trossard’s cross to nod the Gunners ahead with twenty minutes on the clock.
Trossard and Havertz combined effectively throughout the match, as they pressed together when the visitors were on the ball, and provided intelligent movement to test the PSG defence.
Havertz also maintained his remarkable home form in this match. The former Chelsea man has now netted in each of Arsenal’s games at the Emirates Stadium so far this season.
The German has now entirely justified the faith that Mikel Arteta has shown in him since his arrival in North London in the summer of 2023. He has cemented himself as the club’s first choice striker and can be relied upon to lead the line to great effect.
Havertz needed time to settle at Arsenal but is now a key player for the Gunners and seems to still be going from strength to strength.

Clarence Seedorf was impressed by the 25-year-old’s display against the Parisian outfit.
The Dutch icon knows all about what it takes to shine in the Champions League, having won the Europe’s elite club competition four times in his own playing days, once with Ajax, once with Real Madrid, and twice with AC Milan.
Speaking on Amazon Prime Video (30/10/2024, 22:03), the 48-year-old gave his verdict on Havertz.
He said: “He’s amazing. I think his quality is that he knows where to be at the right time.”
Havertz demonstrated the attribute highlighted by Seedorf with the run he made to connect with Trossard’s delivery.

Many Arsenal fans on X echoed Seedorf’s sentiments and heaped praise on Havertz themselves in the wake of this match.
