Arsenal are set to face Vitor Pereira’s Wolves side at Molineux as they look to close the gap on leaders Liverpool in the Premier League.
Arsenal go into the game without captain Martin Odegaard and midfielder Mikel Merino but there are starts for the returning William Saliba and Myles Lewis-Skelly, who have both recovered from minor injuries.
Ethan Nwaneri also makes his first start since a hamstring strain picked up in the draw against Brighton and plays behind Kai Havertz in attack.
The absence of Odegaard has forced Mikel Arteta into a change of captaincy and Arsenal fans have been reacting to the chosen leader.

Arsenal fans believe Gabriel Magalhaes deserves to be named captain
Gabriel Magalhaes has had an outstanding season for Arsenal so far and in the absence of Odegaard, has been named as captain for the Premier League clash with Wolves.

Another fan wrote: “Gabriel captain today, lets go!” Whilst the feeling among many fans was that his performances this year have very much earned him the armband.
One fan believes that the leadership role thrust upon Gabriel will mean Arsenal are more defensively solid too, they wrote: “Gabriel captain? That means a clean sheet today.”
Martin Odegaard illness could accelerate Arsenal pursuit of Sverre Nypan
Martin Odegaard missed the game with illness and whilst Arsenal are hoping to be without their skipper only short-term it could accelerate their interest in Rosenborg’s Sverre Nypan.
Sverre Nypan has been labelled as the next ‘Martin Odegaard’ and journalist David Ornstein gave an update on Arsenal’s pursuit of the teenager on his X account.
Nypan has made a real impact since breaking into the Rosenborg first team and would provide some much-needed squad depth for Arteta in the remainder of the season.
Whether Arsenal can get this deal over the line remains to be seen but fans will be keen for the return of Odegaard sooner rather than later.
