Arsenal know that they are in need of fresh attacking options in the transfer window if they are to continue to compete on all fronts.
Mikel Arteta’s side face a tough test against Unai Emery’s Aston Villa before renewing their Champions League campaign against Dinamo Zagreb.
Arsenal players showed support to the injured Gabriel Jesus by wearing special shirts before the North London Derby but are also without Bukayo Saka and Ethan Nwaneri.
Arsenal have taken an interest in Brentford striker Yoanne Wissa but it seems that Arteta is exploring a number of attacking options before the window slams shut.

Arsenal interested in Norwegian youngster Sverre Nypan
According to the Telegraph, reports in Norway have suggested that Arsenal are looking to steal a march on a number of clubs interested in young Norwegian talent Sverre Nypan.
Rosenborg are believed to be open to negotiating around £10m for Nypan, who has the same agent as Manchester City striker Erling Haaland.
Nypan scored eight goals in 28 matches for Rosenborg in the 2024 season and has been likened to Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard for his creative style.
The 18-year-old midfielder has already played four times for Norway’s Under 21 side and is highly-regarded across Europe.
Arsenal set for a midfield overhaul
Nypan is not the only midfielder linked with the club recently as Arsenal are targeting a deal for Martin Zubimendi in a deal from Mikel Merino’s former club Real Sociedad.
The Gunners interest in a number of midfield options could indicate the start of a complete new midfield with Thomas Partey and Jorginho’s future both in doubt.

Jorginho has been the subject of interest from Brazil this January window however, the Italian midfielder still seems to be part of Arteta’s plans having played against Manchester United in the FA Cup.
With many attacking names linked with the club, Arteta knows the importance of bringing in more options to the side for the remainder of the campaign. If Arsenal can find that extra bit of quality in front of goal, the chance for silverware still remains there to grasp.
