Arsenal fans loved watching Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz congratulate Gabriel Jesus
Arsenal fans are loving the fact that Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz congratulated Gabriel Jesus after his first goal in almost a year.
Jesus has been sidelined with an injury since January, but the Brazilian international made his long-awaited return to action this month.
Therefore, it was a very special moment for the 28-year-old to come off the bench against Villa and produce his first goal since New Year’s Day 2025.
Not only was it great to see Gyokeres and Havertz acknowledge that, but it was really promising to see the camaraderie between the three strikers.
Competition for places in the Arsenal squad is very strong, so it’s great to see all of Arteta’s players pulling in the right direction.
After the win at the Emirates Stadium, supporters have reacted to footage of the trio sharing an embrace, and they are loving the togetherness.
One fan said: “I urge any Arsenal fan to take a look at this and rethink hating on your own players just because you like one of them more than the others.”
Imagine this: You are Mikel Arteta and Arsenal receive a £30m bid in January for Gabriel Jesus. Are you accepting? 👀
How would it take for you to sell Jesus?
“All three will play their role in us winning the title. Our win record when Gyokeres starts is not a coincidence.
“Want to see more goals from Gyokeres, but I’m sure that will come. My strikers. My team,” added another.
A third fan claimed: “As I said before, strength in numbers. These three are enough to go against Haaland at City, believe it or not. They clearly care for one another, so don’t be strange, Arsenal fans.”
There was yet more praise for the trio: “They are rivals, colleagues and friends. They will continue to support each other in Arsenal’s quest for victory.”
Finally, one fan added: “The sooner this fanbase understands that these players all have a role to play in our title chances, the better it will be for everyone.”
Jamie Carragher now believes Jesus is Arsenal’s best striker, and he has also urged Arteta to drop Gyokeres.
Gabriel Jesus proves Arsenal’s impressive mentality
Jesus proved Arsenal’s impressive mentality by stating that the team are happy to have Manchester City hunting them down as it is keeping them on their toes.
Following the 4-1 win, Jesus told Vaishali Bhardwaj: “Obviously, we want to be there. Every single game, we want to be top of the league.
“But we have to know that the opponents who come are chasing us because we are top and they will try to take our place.
“That is good because we cannot slip, we have to be there all the time and try to win games, but I think that’s the only way to stay there at the end of the season.”
