Emi Martinez often has an eventful outing when he faces his former club, and he certainly did at the Emirates when Arsenal beat Aston Villa 4-1.
The Argentine loves the camaraderie that comes with playing in the Premier League, sometimes a bit too much.
On matchday 19, Martinez returned to his former home in a bid to keep Aston Villa’s winning streak going, but Arsenal had other ideas.
The Gunners won the game 4-1 to send a statement to the rest of the Premier League, while in the stands, fans sent their own message to Martinez.

Arsenal fans taunted Martinez on the night after the Villa goalkeeper aimed to make his presence known before the match even kicked off.
A lot has happened since Mikel Arteta removed the tunnel at the Emirates, with Villa providing even more drama.
Before the game, Martinez was stretching in front of Arsenal fans to rouse supporters, and things turned hostile at full-time, seeing the former Gunner have to be dragged away from a furious exchange with supporters.
Describe Emiliano Martinez using just one word
Martinez’s frustration after the game was there for all to see, but he went on to react further on social media once the dust had settled.
On Instagram, the 33-year-old shared what he thought of the game, particularly Gabriel Magalhaes’ opening goal.
“The best team won today, we still in good position for the 2nd part of the season #elbowallow #utv”
Martinez felt the need to write ‘elbow allow’ in the caption, sharing a photo of him and Gabriel contesting the ball, which saw the Brazilian’s arm in a high position.
The passage of play was legal, and Gabriel scored, something Martinez is clearly still digesting.

In fairness to Martinez, he wasn’t the only player on the pitch to engage with fans on social media after the match.
Gabriel mocked Aston Villa’s Amadou Onana with his post-match celebration, but he wasn’t done there.

The Arsenal star reacted to Martinez’s post that accused him of an elbow, liking the Instagram post.
It was an all-action contest from start to finish between the two top sides, and this time, the Gunners came out on top.
