Arsenal fans are loving the Emirates Stadium, with Mikel Arteta bringing a good feeling to the home ground for the first real time.

The Gunners were understandably concerned by their move back in 2006, following years of success at Highbury, especially under Arsene Wenger.

Those concerns came true for Arsenal, as their successes at the Emirates Stadium have been few and far between.

The club are still waiting for another Premier League title, a first at the stadium, while a first Champions League is in their sight.

That finally feels like a real possibility under Mikel Arteta, as the team look competitive at the very top of European football again.

While personnel and tactics play their part, so too does the support from Arsenal fans, and some important changes have been made at the Emirates Stadium.

Arteta has made another switch for this season, which has fans absolutely delighted.

Arsenal fans love removed tunnel feature at the Emirates Stadium this season

One feature that has become well-known with the Emirates Stadium is the tunnel that the players come out from.

That, however, has been removed as Mikel Arteta decided to make the change, hopeful of generating some atmosphere.

That seems to have worked so far, with two home wins secured, beating Leeds and Nottingham Forest in the process.

It has also got the fans more involved, as they’ve been seen embracing their players after the games with high fives and words of praise.

Supporters have praised the change yet again following Arsenal’s win over Nottingham Forest, taking to social media to discuss it.

“Removing that tunnel was the best thing,” one fan said.

Another added: “Removing the tunnel wins us the league btw.”

“Arteta is a generational man for getting rid of the tunnel,” said one supporter, lavishing praise on the manager.

Praise for Arteta continued with: “Excellent idea by Mikel Arteta & the team to remove the tunnel.”

“This view is incredible without the tunnel. Mikel is a genius,” the fans continued.

Another added: “That tunnel didn’t do justice to this beautiful passage. Arteta has done it again….”

Given how important home form will be this season, it’s another change from Arteta that could help the team in a subtle way.

Arsenal’s home form must improve this season after last campaign

While the Emirates Stadium has started to feel a lot more like home, especially with changes such as The Angel playing before kick-off, form there could certainly improve compared to last season.

Arsenal had just the fifth-best home record in the Premier League last season, winning 11 of their 19 matches there.

With teams such as Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea and Newcastle having a better record, it’s a clear concern for Arteta.

Continuing that good feeling at home could help Arsenal pick up some more wins at home, something that is clearly needed if they want to win the title this season.
