Arsenal have just lost the Carabao Cup after losing 2-0 to Manchester City in the final at Wembley.
The Gunners were viewed as slight favourites to win the game, but fans became extremely nervous after seeing Eberechi Eze, Jurrien Timber and Martin Odegaard all missing from the matchday squad.
Mikel Arteta’s side really missed those players, especially in the second half, and were deservedly beaten by the better side.
Here’s how much prize money Arsenal earned from the competition, both in the final and throughout the tournament.

Arsenal’s prize money from the Carabao Cup revealed after final vs Manchester City
The Carabao Cup is the least lucrative tournament Arsenal are involved in this season.
The Premier League and Champions League are where the big money is at, while the FA Cup also adds a few million into the bank if they win it.
However, the rewards for the League Cup are very small.
Arsenal won £10,000 for winning in the third round, £15,000 after the fourth round, and £25,000 each for getting past the quarter-final and semi-final.
Ahead of the final, the Gunners had £75,000 in the bank from the Carabao Cup. Now, after the defeat to Manchester City, they have pocketed an additional £50,000, taking their overall earnings from the competition to £125,000.
If Arsenal had won the final, their reward would’ve been £100,000.

Arsenal’s 33-year wait continues
Arsenal’s luck in the Carabao Cup is awful.
The Gunners are among the most successful sides in the history of English football, but they have won the League Cup on just two occasions.
The first was in 1987 and the second in 1993.
That was over 33 years ago, and after the defeat at Wembley on Sunday, that wait for the Gunners continues.
Now, all the focus should be on the Premier League to make sure that doesn’t slip away.
