Jamie Carragher was in the Sky Sports commentary box to watch Arsenal batter Ipswich Town 4-0 in the Premier League.

It was a walk in the park for Mikel Arteta and his Gunners side. Goals from Gabriel Martinelli, Ethan Nwaneri and a Leandro Trossard double ensured Arsenal picked up all three points in the Premier League.

It was a game that was made easier thanks to a Leif Davis red card, but Arsenal still had a number of good performances against Ipswich.

One player in which, only got just over 30 minutes on the pitch, but in that time managed to impress many with his cameo.

Ethan Nwaneri praised by Jamie Carragher for Ipswich cameo

Nwaneri scored the fourth goal of the game against Ipswich Town, adding to the 18-year-old’s impressive numbers for the Gunners first-team this season.

He obtained praise from Jamie Carragher, who said post-match to Sky Sports: “Nwaneri looks like a superstar of the future, keeps coming off the bench and getting goals.”

Carragher also went on to identify how easy it was for Nwaneri and co to pick apart The Tractor Boys.

He continued: “It was far too easy for Arsenal. The promoted teams are so far off it, we’re sometimes far too kind to them.”

He’s dead right. Ipswich lay down for the Gunners on Easter Sunday, and made it very easy for Arteta’s side to pick up their 18th win of the Premier League season.

Nwaneri’s impressive numbers for Arsenal this season

Despite not featuring from the off too many times this season, Nwaneri has certainly left his mark in his first real full competitive campaign.

After the Ipswich strike, he now has 11 goal contributions across the league and various cup competitions.

Given the fact Nwaneri is only just old enough to order a pint of lager in a pub – this is a quite remarkable feat.

The best part for Arsenal fans? Nwaneri is only going to get better. He’ll be a scary prospect for Arteta for many, many years to come.
