Arsenal cruised to victory against Ipswich Town to delay Liverpool’s Premier League title celebrations.

Liverpool could’ve won the Premier League on matchday 33 if Arsenal had lost to Ipswich at Portman Road.

To the disappointment of Arne Slot’s side, quite the opposite happened, as the Gunners ran riot in Suffolk.

Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli scored in the first half before Ipswich’s luck completely ran out as Leif Davis was shown a red card.

Trossard then added his second of the afternoon after the interval to make it three, before Ethan Nwaneri scored late on.

On a routine afternoon of action for Arsenal, here’s how the players rated.

Arsenal player ratings vs Ipswich Town

David Raya – 6

A rather boring afternoon for Raya, who hardly had a save to make against the hosts.

Aside from protecting his goal, the Spaniard showed off some tidy footwork as he rushed out when a loose ball trickled through the midfield.

Oleksandr Zinchenko – 8

Zinchenko came into the starting XI in place of Lewis-Skelly and played as though he’d never been away.

Arsenal fans applauded Zinchenko’s performance at Portman Road, as the Ukrainian consistently caused the opposition problems with his intricate passing and movement.

William Saliba – 7

Business as usual for Saliba, who, after keeping Kylian Mbappe quiet for 120 minutes, ensured that the Gunners were safe from Ipswich’s threat.

Jakub Kiwior – 7

Quite like Saliba, Kiwior wasn’t threatened too much by Ipswich, as he maintained his unbeaten record when starting for Arsenal.

Ben White – 6

As expected from a player who has played only 70 Premier League minutes this year, White looked rusty compared to his brilliant best, but it was positive to see the right-back feature from the off.

Declan Rice – 6

Rice didn’t make the headlines as he did in midweek, which was predominantly due to a tweak to the midfielder’s role.

The England international played as a number six for the first time since January, covering for Thomas Partey, who was on the bench.

Mikel Merino – 9

After Merino wrote himself into the Champions League record books against Real Madrid, the Spaniard continued his creative form against Ipswich.

Merino set up Martinelli’s goal superbly to record his third assist of the week, and was a keen duel winner in all areas of the pitch.

Martin Odegaard – 8

After Odegaard disappointed against Real Madrid, the Arsenal captain was back in form at Portman Road, relishing the space that was available to him in the central channel.

Gabriel Martinelli – 8

Another game, another goal for Martinelli, who caused problems with his pace and positioning in the final third.

Bukayo Saka – 8

Saka was lucky not to have been hurt by Davis, who was sent off for a horrendous challenge on the winger in the first half.

After scoring at the Bernabeu, Saka will be wondering how he didn’t score in the first half against Ipswich, as he failed to convert three shots.

Leandro Trossard – 8

Trossard netted his sixth and seventh Premier League goals of the season as he opened the scoring after only 14 minutes at Portman Road and punished Ipswich again in the second half.

The Belgian linked up well with Odegaard to cause the hosts problems.

Substitutes

Myles Lewis-Skelly – 6

Fans saw a glimpse of Lewis-Skelly in the number six role after the Englishman was introduced off the bench.

Ethan Nwaneri – 6.5

It started as a difficult cameo for Nwaneri, who looked to struggle with his positioning after being introduced.

The teenager then scored a goal with a heavy deflection to get his name on the scoresheet.

Raheem Sterling – N/A

Keiran Tierney – N/A

Nathan Butler-Oyedeji – N/A

Hale End star Butler-Oyedeji was introduced late to make his Premier League debut.
