Arsenal have been busy in this summer transfer window so far, but there may be room for one final addition.

Meanwhile, Anthony Gordon has been linked to Arsenal too, but speaking to The Mail, the £45m man has shut down any transfer talk for this summer.

The winger says that he’s actually really happy to not be at the centre of a transfer storm this summer, claiming that he’s happy where he is and enjoying his football again.

Gordon spoke about his situation this summer and the fact that he’s not looking set to move.

The attacker says that he’s glad there isn’t much transfer movement for him this summer, despite links to Arsenal.

Gordon says that he’s actually happy where he is, claiming that he’s enjoying his football again after a difficult period this time last year.

“What I can say, for me, is that it’s been an absolute pleasure to be out of the transfer speculation for a summer. It’s the first time in about three years. It’s been so easy, so mentally refreshing,” Gordon said.

“Keep me out of it. I’m not linked to any clubs and I’m very happy where I am. I’m enjoying my football again.”

Anthony Gordon almost left Newcastle last summer

Gordon seemingly isn’t going to be on the move this summer, and it’s a very different story to this time last year.

While Arsenal have been linked with Gordon this year, 12 months ago it was Liverpool who were in for Gordon, and now, the forward has admitted he was close to leaving Newcastle this time last year.

“It’s true that was the case,” Gordon said.

“I would never lie. It was difficult for me because one, I had the Euros, which was horrendous for me mentally. I was there, I wasn’t playing.

“Then I had the transfer stuff. With PSR, I thought I was going to leave at some point in the window. It didn’t happen. I had to get my head around that to begin with (thinking he was going), and then to get my head around it again (when it didn’t happen) was hard.”

Gordon is very much fed up of having rumours swell around his future, and, for this summer at least, it would appear he’s set to stay where he is.
