Former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey had many iconic moments for the club, and he has now named which was his best of them all.

The Welshman made himself a club icon during 11 years, as the highest-scoring central midfielder in the history of the club with 64 goals in 369 appearances, and there were some incredible moments.

He scored the winner in two FA Cup finals, as well as goals in away victories at Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan in European competition, and put bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur to the sword in multiple North London derbies.

Ramsey also scored one of the best goals scored by an Arsenal player in the last decade with a weak-foot volley from outside the box against Galatasaray in the Champions League, but he has now admitted that there was a goal which topped this strike for him.

Aaron Ramsey reveals his favourite Arsenal goal

Speaking to JustArsenal, the current Cardiff City midfielder claimed that his emotional winner in the 2014 FA Cup final was his favourite moment in an Arsenal shirt.

“I had some very special moments at Arsenal, but the one that stands out, no matter how many years pass, is the winning goal against Hull,” he stated.

“We were many years without a trophy so it was so nice to finally get our hands on the Cup. I will not forget it!”

He was then asked if his goal against Galatasaray was his favourite, but he stood by his assertion that his strike at Wembley is above all the rest.

“The goal against Galatasaray was the best I’ve ever scored. But the goal against Hull was the most special because of the emotions too. I can’t describe it, it was amazing,” Ramsey explained.

Arsene Wenger’s side headed into the final at Wembley as heavy favourites for the FA Cup final, and having fallen short after leading the Premier League for most of the season, there was immense pressure to win.

Arsenal had not won a major trophy in nine years heading into the game, and had lost their last three cup finals.

They were stunned as they went 2-0 down within the first 10 minutes, but Santi Cazorla pulled a goal back quickly before Laurent Koscielny found the equaliser in the second half.

With less than 10 minutes of extra time remaining, Ramsey then poked home to cap off what was an incredible individual season, and won the cup.

Wenger would stay for four more years, and if Arsenal had lost, there is every chance that he could have left the club. Arsenal would go on to win the cup twice in the following three years, but fell just short after building a side which was almost ready to win the Premier League.

That goal will live long in the memory of Arsenal fans in what was one of the most dramatic cup finals in the history of the club, and it was a crowning moment for Ramsey, who had recovered from a long-term injury two years before and had hit his best form in that campaign.
