Arsenal hero Aaron Ramsey is set to continue his playing career by moving to a new club, rather than starting his managerial career at Cardiff City.
It’s been a topsy-turvy few years for the Welshman since he left the Emirates Stadium, with plenty of trials and tribulations thrown his way.
Aaron Ramsey initially joined Juventus in 2019, spending three years with a short loan at Rangers in the final year.
A one-year deal at Nice then saw the 34-year-old return to his boyhood club, Cardiff City, in the Championship.
Struggles with fitness saw Ramsey struggle to get on the pitch, with the Arsenal legend eventually relegated with the Bluebirds to the third tier at the end of the 2024/25 season.
In that time, Ramsey took over as interim manager at Cardiff, with some believing that it could spark his own move into management.
However, with the conclusion of the season, the midfielder now looks set for a very big career change.

Aaron Ramsey set to leave Cardiff to continue playing career with Pumas
With Aaron Ramsey’s contract expiring this summer, there had been question marks over his future at Cardiff.
Some had suggested that Ramsey was in the running to be the next Cardiff manager, as the club look to rebuild in League One.
However, rather than switch to management, it looks as though the former Arsenal man is set for a very different challenge.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Ramsey is set to sign a contract with Mexican side Pumas, joining their ranks for the coming season.
Pumas play in Liga MX, a title they have won seven times in the club’s history – the most recent coming in 2011.
After a few turbulent years, the club now turn to Ramsey to help add a bit of quality to their midfield ranks for the coming season.
