The Gunners are already without Eberechi Eze, Martin Odegaard, Mikel Merino and Jurrien Timber, with Saliba and Trossard now added to that list.

The North London club will now likely assess the Belgian attacker at London Colney to determine the full extent of the issue.

Leandro Trossard withdraws from the Belgium squad

Leandro Trossard has withdrawn from the Belgium squad with an injury, according to James Benge.

It is unclear how serious the injury could be, but the winger is now set to remain in London during the March international break.

Following a brilliant start to the season, the £27m star’s form has fallen off quite considerably, with the attacker yet to score in 2026.

Arteta will be secretly delighted to see so many of his players pulling out of international duty, with the squad needing to stick together following a tough result.

The Gunners’ injury list now stands at six following the 2-0 defeat in the Carabao Cup final to Manchester City.

Eze’s injury could be worse than initially feared after the winger picked up a calf injury against Bayer Leverkusen.

Noni Madueke has also suffered a wrist injury during an Arsenal training session, although he is expected to be fit to feature for England.
