Alan Shearer has revealed where he thinks Arsenal will finish in the Premier League after observing the first two matchweeks of the season.
The Gunners are aiming to win their first league title in over 20 years, having finished second in each of the last three campaigns.
Eberechi Eze has arrived from Crystal Palace to help them do this, following the likes of Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke and Martin Zubimendi through the door at London Colney.
It’s been an unprecedented summer for the North Londoners, spending in excess of £250 million on seven players, and Mikel Arteta will hope this investment is enough to propel his side to silverware.

Alan Shearer thinks Arsenal will finish third in the Premier League this season
Arsenal beat Manchester United 1-0 on the opening day, before thrashing Leeds 5-0 at the Emirates last time out.
Currently sitting top of the Premier League on goal difference after these two matches, Shearer still isn’t convinced that the Gunners will be in this position come May.
Speaking on the official Premier League TikTok account, the former Newcastle United striker put Arsenal third in his predicted table, behind Liverpool and Manchester City.
Arsenal take on Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, which will be a good test of Shearer’s prediction.
If the Gunners come through the match unscathed, with their unbeaten start to the season intact, then they should be seen more favourably by pundits in the Premier League title race.
For now, Arteta’s side still have something to prove to the football world, after declining significantly in their domestic performance level last season.

Liverpool and Manchester City have more issues than Arsenal
Arsenal’s ceiling may not be quite as high as either Liverpool’s or Manchester City’s, with both of the Gunners’ opponents perhaps possessing more high-end explosive forward talent.
That said, the North London outfit’s floor is higher, with both the Merseysiders and the Citizens currently dealing with some major issues.
Liverpool look vulnerable defensively with their lack of natural ball winners in midfield and their new rampaging full-backs.
They’re also adapting to no longer being able to rely on Trent Alexander-Arnold’s ball progression from deep, which is currently prohibiting how often their exciting attacking players receive the ball.
Meanwhile, City’s new-look midfield is fragile and cannot provide the requisite defensive cover to protect their back four.
Pep Guardiola’s side will be heavily reliant on Rodri once the Spaniard is starting regularly again, and it remains to be seen whether the Ballon d’Or winner can rediscover his pre-ACL form.
