Arsenal midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga has finally had his say on the clip from the Amazon All or Nothing documentary with Eddie Nketiah that went viral.
The docuseries by Amazon was a fascinating watch, wasn’t it? We got an insight into how things work behind the scenes, and one of the most popular moments was when Nketiah had a go at Lokonga in the Arsenal canteen. The Belgian has now shared his thoughts on how he felt at the time.

Arsenal’s Albert Sambi Lokonga says he ‘didn’t like’ what Eddie Nketiah said to him
Albert Sambi Lokonga earned a lot of praise at the Emirates right after he joined Arsenal.
The Belgian, who became a Gunner after moving from Anderlecht in the summer of 2021, played a lot more regularly than he would’ve expected early in the season, and he was really impressive.
Lokonga played all but one of Arsenal’s first 13 Premier League games, but he was unused in 18 of the final 25 fixtures. That, unsurprisingly, dampened his mood.
In a viral clip from the Amazon All or Nothing documentary, when Lokonga said he hasn’t been playing as much as he previously was, Eddie Nketiah hits back by saying: “So what, my friend? You think you’re the f—–g only one not playing?”.
That, in a way, made Nketiah look good and Lokonga the opposite. The Belgian has now claimed that he ‘didn’t like’ what that striker told him, but he feels the whole clip has actually been taken out of context.
Lokonga told The Athletic: “I would still have the same answer now. A player wants to be on the pitch, and if he’s not playing, he is not happy.
“The other thing was, me and Eddie, we are really, really close. If you look at it back, you can see I was even laughing at the end. I didn’t find it difficult but I didn’t like it.
“Eddie was looking like the guy who was working hard and I was looking like the guy who was not happy, blaming and moaning. Eddie is my friend. It‘s more of a thing on social media.”

Lokonga has been impressing on loan at Luton Town
Almost every fan thought Albert Sambi Lokonga’s Arsenal career was over last summer. He was expected by many to be sold, but only a loan deal was possible in the end.
An injury limited him to just two appearances until the first week of December at Luton Town, but since then, the 24-year-old has been one of the most impressive midfielders in the country.
Lokonga is showing his quality at Luton and has earned a ton of praise. He has even caught Jurgen Klopp’s eye – the Liverpool boss seemed surprised that Arsenal had loaned out a player of such high quality.
It’s still unclear if Lokonga has a future at Arsenal, but his impressive performances are a massive plus for everyone involved.
