Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain played with several great players for Arsenal and Liverpool over the years.
The England international is back at the Sobha Realty Training Centre after leaving Besiktas. He is currently training with the U21s.
Although he is not a part of the first-team picture at the moment, Oxlade-Chamberlain has kept a close eye on his old club, and he has been blown away by a few players.
Declan Rice is one of them.
Is Declan Rice the best midfielder in the world right now? If not, who is?
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain raves about Arsenal star Declan Rice
Arsenal smashed their transfer record to sign Rice from West Ham United in the summer of 2023.
The England international was the best midfielder available for the Gunners to sign in that window, and they beat Manchester City for his signature.
Rice has not disappointed in the famous red and white. He has barely ever had a bad game and has produced several match-winning performances.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain knows all about Rice having watched him at West Ham, and he, like the rest of us, was aware that he was incredible there.
However, since joining Arsenal, Oxlade-Chamberlain thinks Rice has reached a whole new level.
He said about the midfielder during an interview with The Athletic: “Unbelievable!
“He was already a great player at West Ham, but now, he has gone into another stratosphere.”

Declan Rice is finally about to get a break at Arsenal
Rice has played every single game for Arsenal in all competitions this season. The Englishman is one of Mikel Arteta’s most important players, and you can understand why he is picked to play all the time.
Rice has played more minutes than any other outfield player at the club. That is impressive, but it also increases the risk of injuries, which is why he needs a break.
Arsenal fans urged Arteta to rest Rice for the game against Brugge, and those supporters are about to get their wish now.
Who should replace Declan Rice when Arsenal take on Club Brugge in the Champions League?
Declan Rice has been ruled out of Arsenal's clash vs Club Brugge!
Arteta has confirmed that Rice will not feature against Club Brugge because of illness, which means he will get a full week’s rest following the defeat against Aston Villa.
The Gunners’ next game in the Premier League is against Wolves, who haven’t won a game yet this season.
If Rice isn’t at his best level for that game, Arsenal should leave him out of that fixture as well, as they can beat Wolves without their star midfielder.
