Arsenal have a few players in their squad who are capable of playing for any club in the world, including Real Madrid.
The Galacticos are the biggest football team on the planet. They have won it all over the years and are once again the favourites to win the Champions League this season.
Antonio Rudiger has played a big part in Real Madrid’s success in recent years. He has become one of the best defenders in world football since moving to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Now, he has noticed an Arsenal player who could get a move to Real Madrid one day.
Antonio Rudiger suggests Real Madrid could try to sign William Saliba from Arsenal
William Saliba is up there with the best centre-backs in world football.
The defender has been absolutely incredible over the last two years. He has been a mainstay at the Emirates and has become a hugely important figure in the French national team as well.
Saliba is already so good, but the fact that he is still only 23 means he will get even better. That is exciting if you’re an Arsenal fan but also slightly worrying.
Clubs like Real Madrid have already been linked with a move to sign Saliba, and Rudiger feels that move is inevitable if the Arsenal star continues to perform in the same way in the coming years.
On The Inside Scoop Podcast, Rudiger was asked to name one defender in world football he would like to sign for Real Madrid to partner him.
He replied without any hesitation: “Saliba! I’m happy with my centre-back partner (Eder) Militao because he also came from a big injury and he is very strong. He is getting back to his best. But, there are so many games, you will rotate, so to have Saliba would be great.
“If he continues to do what he does…(smiles).”
When podcast co-host Culture Cams mentioned the ‘Real Madrid knock’ and asked Rudiger not to scare Arsenal fans, the defender replied: “No, I don’t scare nobody.
“But, at the end of the day, it’s clear – if he does what he does…,” Rudiger smiles and puts his hands up, suggesting that it’s inevitable that Real Madrid will get him one day.
On the same podcast, Rudiger raved about Saliba and branded him as a ‘silent leader’, while also praising his centre-back partner at Arsenal, Gabriel Magalhaes.

Fabrizio Romano has shared an update on Saliba’s future
The thought of losing Saliba is scary for every Arsenal fan.
The Frenchman is arguably the first name on Mikel Arteta’s team sheet every week, and when he isn’t available, Arsenal are significantly weaker.
Links to clubs like Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have been coming out of the rumour mill, but Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Saliba is not in any talks to leave Arsenal.
He has revealed that the defender is happy at the Emirates and no transfer is imminent.
That is a relief if you’re an Arsenal fan, but Saliba will enter the final two years of his contract next year. Edu Gaspar has to tie him down to a new deal before that happens.
