Arsenal have officially announced their retained list for the summer of 2025, revealing which players will be staying and who will be leaving.
It comes as Andrea Berta works extremely hard behind the scenes to get on top of the contract situation developing at the Emirates Stadium.
Several stars are starting to see their deals dwindle, leaving Arsenal in a potentially vulnerable place in the next few years.
While some will undoubtedly stay, the journey is over for some key players, who have been officially released by the club.

Arsenal announce Jorginho and Kieran Tierney release in retained list
With the retained list now published, it has been confirmed that both Kieran Tierney and Jorginho will leave Arsenal this summer.
The pair have enjoyed spells at the Emirates Stadium, but look set for new challenges over the coming summer.
Tierney is set for a return to Celtic, having already signed a deal to join up with his old club in the Scottish Premiership.
The 27-year-old has spent six years at Arsenal, where he was an immediate fan favourite during a difficult spell.
With Mikel Arteta’s arrival, Tierney found it tough to keep his place in the team as a mixture of tactical changes and injuries saw him drop out.
As for Jorginho, he is set to join Flamengo this summer, moving to Brazil for a brand new opportunity.
Arsenal landed the experienced midfielder from rivals Chelsea in January 2023, looking to add a serial winner to their ranks.
While he wasn’t always on the pitch, Jorginho provided plenty of insight and coaching during his time at the club.
Those two aren’t the only releases, however, as there are a few from the Arsenal academy who are leaving the club too, as well as Raheem Sterling and Neto seeing their loans come to an end.

The Arsenal academy has also announced several releases, with plenty of young talent now looking out for new clubs.
The academy players released by Arsenal are:

- Reece Clairmont

- Salah-Eddine Oulad M’Hand
- Ismail M’Hand
- Brian Okonkwo

It means that, including both the first-team and the academy, Arsenal have released 17 players in total.
Arsenal women’s players released at the end of their contract
There are also three players from the Arsenal women’s side who have been released, with Teyah Goldie, Lina Hurtig and Amanda Ilestedt waving farewell after the Champions League triump.
Arsenal players currently in contract talks
While 20 players will leave the club at the end of the month, they have also confirmed contract talks with Thomas Partey and Michal Rosiak over new deals, along with Chloe Kelly.
It remains to be seen whether either will commit to new deals.
