Andrea Berta has done a remarkable job since becoming the Arsenal sporting director.

The Italian was a big success in his previous role at Atletico Madrid, and that raised the expectation levels at the Emirates when he arrived.

In his first transfer window in the summer, Berta signed eight new players. He also extended the contracts of Gabriel Magalhaes, William Saliba, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri.

Most recently, Berta completed the signings of Edwin and Holger Quintero on pre-contracts. They will move to Arsenal once they turn 18 in 2027, and the duo could make history soon after.

Which Arsenal teenage talent now excites you the most following the Quintero twins’ signing? Let us know in the comments… 👀

Edwin and Holger Quintero could make Arsenal history

The Quintero twins are viewed as two of the biggest talents in South America right now.

Arsenal already have an exceptional group of young players, and the addition of the two Ecuadorians further solidifies their future.

The Quinteros, who have been compared to Ronaldinho, will not be available to feature in the famous red and white until they arrive in August 2027, but once they do, they could make history.

Arsenal have not had two brothers play together for the senior side since November 1960 – over 65 years ago!

Danny and Denis Clapton were the last and only the third pair of brothers to share the pitch for Arsenal in a competitive game.

The Quintero twins have the chance to become the first brothers to play for Arsenal at the same time in the history of the Premier League, which would be a great record to have.

They’ve been compared to Neymar and Ronaldinho, but which players do the Quintero twins remind you of?

The Nwaneri brothers could beat the Quintero twins to Arsenal record

Arsenal haven’t had many brothers play together for their senior side, but they have had a few in their academy over the years.

Joe and Chris Willock were at Hale End. Both players played for the first team, but never together. Salah-Eddine and Ismail Oulad M’hand were in the Arsenal academy as well.

None of the above names are at the club anymore, but Ethan Nwaneri and his brother Emerson are both still at Arsenal.

With the Quintero twins not coming in until 2027, there is a chance that the Nwaneri brothers could become the first siblings to play for Arsenal in over 65 years if they get an opportunity.
