Arsenal fans all saying the same thing about what Benjamin Sesko has done, Edu sent clear message

Arsenal were heavily linked with a move to sign Benjamin Sesko in the 2024 summer transfer window.

The Gunners have needed a prolific striker since Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang left the club. Mikel Arteta and Edu Gaspar have tried to bring a new number nine in, but things haven’t gone to plan.

Arsenal’s most recent striker target was Sesko following his impressive 2023/24 season at RB Leipzig. A move for the Slovenia international made a lot of sense.

Edu and Arteta tried to sign Sesko this summer but he rejected Arsenal. He chose to extend his contract and stay at Leipzig.

That move seems to be working out really well for him. Sesko has scored six goals and provided three assists in seven games in all competitions so far this season.

Two of those goals came in the Champions League against Juventus on Wednesday night. Sesko was outstanding against the Old Lady.

Arsenal fans make Benjamin Sesko demand after his Champions League heroics

Arsenal have Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus up top at the moment, while Leandro Trossard can also play there. The three players, on their day, can win games on their own for the Gunners.

However, none of Havertz, Jesus and Trossard are particularly prolific, which is why Arsenal fans are all urging Arteta and Edu to sign Sesko in 2025.

Many even feel Arsenal should sell Jesus to make space for Sesko.

One Arsenal fan tweeted: “If Sesko is not an Arsenal player by the end of summer 2025, I will be bitterly disappointed.”

Another said: “Arsenal really have to keep trying for Sesko in the next markets.”

“Sell Jesus and get a clinical striker in Sesko who completes the Arsenal side,” wrote another.

Another Gooner said: “Sell Jesus and give £200k of his £260k wages to Sesko, I’ve seen enough. The other £60k can go to Saliba.”

“Jesus out, Sesko in next summer,” tweeted another Arsenal supporter.

Another Arsenal striker target impressed in the Champions League

Sesko isn’t the only striker Arsenal have been linked with – there are a few others as well.

The RB Leipzig star ended up on the losing side on Wednesday night despite scoring a brace. That’s because another Juventus striker netted twice too – Dusan Vlahovic.

Vlahovic is a target for Arsenal once again after the Gunners failed to sign him when he left Fiorentina for Juventus in January 2022.

The Serbian was brilliant for the Old Lady against Leipzig. He really caught our eye, and it may well come down to Sesko or Vlahovic for Arsenal in 2025 if they decide to sign a new striker.

If it was up to us, we would go with Sesko!
