Arsenal are already planning for the two transfer windows in 2025.
The Gunners had a decent summer. They brought in David Raya, Riccardo Calafiori and Mikel Merino on permanent deals, while Neto and Raheem Sterling joined the club on loan.
That, in our opinion, is a solid window, but many Arsenal fans and pundits are still asking one very important question – where’s the new striker?
Edu Gaspar and Mikel Arteta are expected to address that issue in 2025, and TeamTalk have revealed the five names on Arsenal’s shortlist right now.
The five strikers on Arsenal’s 2025 transfer shortlist
Arteta has built a magnificent squad at Arsenal in recent years.
The Gunners have top-class players in every single position, and that is the reason why they have challenged for the Premier League title in each of the last two seasons.
However, many, like Alan Shearer, feel Arsenal need a new striker to win the big trophies, and Edu and Arteta are likely to sign a new number nine in 2025.
Rudy Galetti has revealed on TeamTealk that Arsenal have a five-man striker shortlist going into next year.
Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic, who rejected Arsenal a few years ago, is one of them, while Inter Milan star Marcus Thuram is said to be another.
Lille striker Jonathan David is also on Edu’s list, as is Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting Lisbon, who has had an unbelievable start to the season.
The fifth name is Benjamin Sesko, who rejected a move to Arsenal earlier in the 2024 summer transfer window. However, he is expected to be on the move in 2025.

There’s one striker missing from Arsenal’s transfer shortlist
The five names above are all very solid, but none of them really make you want to jump off your feet.
Yes, Gyokeres would be an excellent signing, as will Sesko. But, would either one of them guarantee an instant impact considering they don’t have experience in the Premier League?
Don’t get us wrong, we would be delighted if Arsenal signed either Gyokeres or Sesko in one of the next two transfer windows, but neither are our top choice.
We think Arsenal should go all out to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle United in 2025.
The Swede is the perfect striker for Arteta’s system, and we are convinced that he will make the Gunners favourites to win the title if Edu signs him.
