Arsenal fans are singing the praises of Ben White after a moment of madness during the 2-0 win against Aston Villa.
The Gunners’ hard luck against Villa ran out on Saturday evening, as Mikel Arteta’s side secured a 2-0 win at Villa Park.
After a slow first half, it took a moment of instinctual magic from Leandro Trossard to break the deadlock, as the Belgian scored with his first touch.
Thomas Partey then claimed the second, seeing Arsenal take three points and a clean sheet back to the Emirates, with plenty of talking points cropping up during the fixture.
Aside from the two goals, the game had moments that varied from zero to 100, with David Raya’s magical double save being one.
Another was William Saliba’s first half tussle with Villa captain John McGinn, after the Scotland international retaliated to his side conceding a free kick.

Arsenal fans react to Ben White moment involving John McGinn against Aston Villa
Saliba reacted out of character as McGinn smashed the ball into the Frenchman’s stomach after the whistle had gone, sparking a rage in the Arsenal star.
The Villa midfielder’s actions were unacceptable, which Ben White made clear by sticking up for his teammate in an unusual manner.
Arsenal’s right-back got a good view of McGinn clattering the ball into Saliba when he was on the floor, so took matters into his own hands by firing the ball back at the Scotsman.
Arsenal supporters quickly reacted on X to White’s actions, with many showing full support for the defender’s decision to hand McGinn a taste of his own medicine.
“Ben White smashing the ball at McGinn for smashing it at Saliba. That’s our boy,” one fan said, with another agreeing, “Ben White is an absolute legend.”
An Arsenal supporter praised White’s backing of the centre-back by saying, “Ben White is the big brother everyone needs.”
Aside from being the no-nonsense brother that everyone needs, another fan admitted that, “Every team needs a Ben White.”
“If we end up with a draw I’ll be most happy with Ben White’s payback to John McGinn.”
Supporters were quick to acknowledge the reaction of White, whose antics haven’t gone unnoticed over his Arsenal career.
“Never change, Ben White,” one said, as another reacted with, “Ben White being Ben White.”
Another Arsenal lover said, “Love the passion on the field, Ben! Never change your energy!” which was an opinion shared by most upon seeing the right-back’s support of his teammate.
White has a no-nonsense attitude at Arsenal
Opposition fans aren’t lovers of White, which is what makes him so adored in North London.
The defender rarely holds back when it comes to having some fun on the pitch, which he is entitled to given his focus and consistency when the ball is in play.
Since arriving at Arsenal in 2021, White has become one of Arteta’s most reliable assets, going from strength to strength on the right side of defence.
Against Villa, the fullback’s attitude to the game was no different, with his dedication towards his teammates also at the Englishman’s high standards.
