Arsenal are finally back to winning ways after picking up a huge three points against rivals Tottenham in the North London Derby.

The Gunners came from behind to earn a victory, putting some pressure back on current Premier League leaders Liverpool.

Away from the pitch, Arsenal are also working hard to complete some moves in the January transfer window.

Plenty of big moves have been touted as the side actively look to strengthen their ranks before it closes.

So with that said, here’s a look at the biggest Arsenal stories ahead of another busy day.

Arsenal fans react to Thomas Partey display vs Tottenham

Arsenal’s win over Tottenham in the North London Derby comes as a huge boost to the side in their chances of winning the Premier League title this season.

The Gunners moved within four points of rivals Liverpool, following their dropped points against Nottingham Forest in midweek.

Mikel Arteta will be looking to take advantage of some much-needed momentum and some impressive displays.

One player who did fail to convince many was Thomas Partey though, who struggled in the tie and left fans frustrated.

David Ornstein gives Martin Zubimendi transfer update

Arsenal have been heavily linked with a transfer for Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi, according to recent reports.

It’s claimed that the Gunners are closing in on an agreement that would see the Spaniard join in the summer transfer window to strengthen the middle of the park.

With a release clause in the region of £51million, a deal could be completed quickly in the months ahead, though any switch could come out as more expensive than that.

That’s because according to David Ornstein, Arsenal could look to stagger their payments, rather than pay the clause up front.

Speaking on NBC, he said: “The release clause in his contract is €60 million (£51m). My understanding is that they might look to pay a bit more so that they can stagger the payments and that would allow them to do other business in next summer’s transfer window.

“So there’s immediate business to attend to at Arsenal but also longer term as well with the potential of Zubimendi. It’s a busy time at the Emirates.”

Arsenal eye Viktor Gyokeres and Bryan Mbeumo transfer

The January transfer window offers Arsenal a huge chance to bolster their forward options, given some big injury concerns in the team.

With plenty of names flying around, L’Equipe reports that Viktor Gyokeres and Bryan Mbeumo are on the radar as potential options to keep an eye on.

The former has a release clause but it won’t need to be triggered to agree a deal with Sporting CP, the report claims.

The latter may be tougher to land, but with time dwindling down on his contract, a deal could go through.
