Arsenal will hope to see Bukayo Saka back in action when Nottingham Forest visit the Emirates.

Now that the November international break has come to a close, focus will return to domestic action.

Bukayo Saka injury update ahead of Nottingham Forest clash

From Ben White’s knee surgery to Declan Rice’s broken foot, Arteta has his work cut out to get his best players fit for Forest.

One figure whose absence will be a real concern is Saka, who withdrew from the England squad after suffering a knock against Chelsea.

After the draw at Stamford Bridge, Arteta admitted that Saka’s injury didn’t look good, with there no update on the player’s fitness as of yet.

With the Forest clash only two days away, there’s hope that the winger will be fit however, the latest report from the Daily Mail suggests otherwise.

Journalist Sami Mokbel mentioned Saka in his column, describing the 23-year-old’s injury situation as a ‘race against time’.

The Hale End graduate’s thigh injury sees him running out of time to prove his fitness to Arteta to face Forest, who will be far from easy to overcome.

Mikel Arteta needs Saka fit

Having Saka available is crucial to the Gunners, who have seen already this season how difficult it is to cope without their star winger.

The 23-year-old only returned to action against Liverpool after suffering an injury, coming back with a bang by scoring in the top-of-the-table clash.

If there’s one player that Arteta will want available to face Forest, it’s Saka, who already has 10 goal contributions in the Premier League this season.

Some clarity will be shed when the boss addresses the media in the pre-match press conference, with there hope that Saka can continue to rest in preparation for Saturday’s showdown.
