Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice injury update

Arsenal stars Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice are fresh injury concerns for the side after their draw with Chelsea on Sunday.

The Gunners took the lead through Gabriel Martinelli but the Blues pulled one back through Pedro Neto from range.

With an international break now on the cards, Mikel Arteta will be taking stock and has some injury issues to deal with.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the draw, the manager said on Rice and Saka: “They don’t look very good to me. I don’t know [if they are long-term injuries] but they couldn’t finish the game.”

It creates a huge potential problem for Arsenal, with the duo now waiting to see if they will join up with the England squad.

If the pair pull out then it will indicate a bigger problem, while staying in the Three Lions camp may have them breathing a sigh of relief.

Arsenal could face triple transfer exit

Mikel Arteta could reshape his Arsenal squad over the January transfer window with some potential transfer exits.

The backline is a particular place for exits at the Emirates Stadium, with quite a few options in excess for the Gunners.

One of those is Kieran Tierney, who has been out injured since he returned to the club from his loan at Real Sociedad last season.

The star could be set for an exit once he’s back to fitness, with his former club Celtic among those linked with a switch.

There are also potential moves on the cards for Jakub Kiwior and Oleksandr Zinchenko though only one will be allowed to leave.

Gary Neville hails Gabriel Martinelli impact

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has praised the impact of Gabriel Martinelli for Arsenal against Chelsea.

The Brazilian scored the only goal for the Gunners as they drew on Sunday, beating Robert Sanchez with a near-post finish.

Martinelli was labelled as the most attacking threat for the north London outfit, which was reflected in his finish.

Speaking on Sky Sports: “He has been the danger man and the one Arsenal forward who has stood up today. It is quite close to Sanchez, who just lets that shot in at the near post, it is a big goal…”

The winger is now set to meet up with the Brazil squad for the international break.
