Arsenal have been on an incredible run across all competitions this season, which has seen them stay competitive, even with injuries.
The Gunners are top of the Premier League, while their run in the Carabao Cup and Champions League has them in fine form.
While many have focused on Arsenal’s set-pieces and how they continue to improve on those opportunities, there is one other area that Mikel Arteta has sorted out, which has gone under the radar.

Arsenal’s discipline statistics have improved this season
Arsenal’s title challenge last season was hampered by injuries; however, there was another factor that caused the side some problems.
That came in the form of their discipline.
The Gunners kept receiving soft red cards, and while some of the blame from fans was placed on the officials, the players could’ve done more to prevent the decisions that were made.
This time around, Arsenal haven’t been drawn into making the types of challenges or bringing those cards out from the officials.
The North London side are actually bottom for yellow cards, picking up just 11 in their opening 11 Premier League games so far.
They are yet to pick up a single red card either, meaning they are the fairest side in the division so far.
The likes of Chelsea, Wolves, Tottenham and Everton make up the top four for worst discipline, with plenty of yellows and reds flying.
It means Arteta has had all of his players available so far this season, coming as quite a boost, which nobody seems to be talking about.

Which Arsenal players are close to a yellow card ban?
Given how early it still is in the Premier League season, the threat of a ban for yellow cards still looms large.
Before the halfway stage, it takes just five yellows to get suspended for one match, but fortunately, Arsenal don’t have many players at risk.
| Player | Yellow cards |
|---|---|
| Riccardo Calafiori | 3 |
| Jurrien Timber | 2 |
| Martin Zubimendi | 2 |
| David Raya | 1 |
| Viktor Gyokeres | 1 |
| Gabriel Magalhaes | 1 |
| Myles Lewis-Skelly | 1 |
Riccardo Calafiori is the player closest to a suspension, with just two bookings in the next eight games, leading to a suspension.
Jurrien Timber and Martin Zubimendi are three away, while the likes of David Raya, Viktor Gyokeres, Gabriel Magalhaes and Myles Lewis-Skelly are some distance from a ban.
It shows just how well Arsenal have managed their discipline and their availability.
