Despite being only three games into the 2025/26 season, Arsenal are already experiencing injury troubles.
Arsenal suffered so many key injuries over the 2024/25 campaign, with Mikel Arteta’s bad luck carrying over to this term.
Bukayo Saka has been out for weeks as he nurses a hamstring injury, while William Saliba has just been ruled out as he recovers from a blow to his ankle.
There’s good news on the horizon, as Ben White is set to return from injury soon, but the last thing Arteta would’ve wanted to hear of is an injury over the international break.

Martin Odegaard hurt himself celebrating his goal for Norway
Fortunately, the Arsenal players on international duty are set to return to North London fit and ready for Saturday’s clash against Nottingham Forest.
There was, however, one moment during the international break where one Arsenal player hurt himself, as Martin Odegaard revealed after Norway’s win over Moldova.
Odegaard was instrumental in Norway’s 11-1 victory, but admitted that he could’ve injured himself during his goal celebration.
The Arsenal captain decided to unleash a knee slide in celebration when he scored, something that he regretted.
“My goal celebration? I went a bit hard on my knees,” Odegaard admitted to VG post-match.
“So yeah, I’ve learned that it’s not the best surface to do a knee slide on, but I’ll survive.”
Considering that Odegaard carried an injury into the international break, Arteta will be relieved that the only complaint his skipper had was from his celebration choice.
Mikel Arteta might take inspiration from Arsene Wenger about celebrations
Given how regimented the game has become with rules and tactics, the last thing that there should be a constraint on is celebrations.
That being said, when it comes to putting restrictions on celebrations, Arsenal have a history in the matter.
Arsene Wenger used to tell Kolo Toure not to do backflips, but after winning the league at White Hart Lane, the Ivorian defender did it anyway.
Perhaps Arteta will take a leaf from Wenger’s book after Odegaard’s admission on international duty, with any talk of injury or discomfort bound to worry the Spaniard.
