Arsenal are still enjoying the impact of the legacy of one of their greatest ever managers in Arsene Wenger.

Wenger was a huge driver behind the move from Highbury to the Emirates Stadium in 2006 alongside David Dein and was always looking for innovative ways to move Arsenal forward.

Stan Kroenke plans to expand the Emirates in order to align the Arsenal infrastructure with European giants such as Real Madrid and Wenger was always one for having a long term vision.

Wenger oversaw three Premier League successes and a record seven FA Cup trophies during his reign but once told Olympic icon and Gunners fan Sir Mo Farah a bizarre ritual before every taking charge of every Arsenal match.

Arsene Wenger revealed bizarre Arsenal ritual

Speaking to Mo Farah on his official YouTube channel on an episode of ‘Run with Mo’, Wenger revealed an important ritual that he used to do before game he took charge at the Gunners.

Wenger stated: “On the day of a game, I went for a run every time or in the gym when I couldn’t go outside but I did run before every game in the morning when I woke up.”

The Frenchman went on to explain how the exercise helped to clear his head before making difficult tactical decisions both before and during the game in his time in North London.

Wenger explained: “I guy who is managing is thinking always about the same thing, the game, the team, have I made the right decisions, should I start him, should I change that? It helps you to relax.”

Wenger revealed proudest Arsenal moment

Wenger also revealed to Farah during his run his proudest moment as Arsenal manager but couldn’t choose between two special memories.

His first Premier League trophy in 1998 was won in extraordinary circumstances having trailed Manchester United at one point during that season by 12 points.

The Arsenal legend of course then mentioned the 2003-04 season where the Gunners under his stewardship completed an entire league campaign unbeaten.

Wenger stated: “As a manager you always want to have a perfect season and the fact that in 2004 we were unbeaten for 49 games you never know how good you are.”
