Ben Foster has revealed what Aaron Ramsdale has told him about Arsenal teammate Ben White amid ongoing controversy surrounding the defender.
The 26-year-old has been targeted by pundits and rival fans after Gareth Southgate detailed how White told the England manager he did not want to be considered for international duty at this current time.
With the defender falling out with England staff at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, it’s no real wonder why White has suddenly become public enemy number one for some sections of football supporters.

Yet speaking on the Fozcast, Foster revealed that he asked Arsenal goalkeeper Ramsdale what White is really like, with the England international giving a glowing review of his teammate.
Based on the praise White won from fellow Arsenal players in his recent contract announcement video, it’s no real surprise that the defender is a beloved figure inside the club, with fans also adoring the defender.
Foster said when asked what his take is on the White controversy: “There’s loads of stories out there about him not getting on with all the players.
“I spoke to Aaron Ramsdale about it and he said ‘he’s a top lad’, he said ‘Ben White is a top, top lad, don’t worry about anything like that, none of it is true, he’s just a top lad.'”

Like many things in the British sport media landscape, White’s decision to not be selected for England duty is being blown way out of proportion given what’s actually happened.
The defender’s decision to not be picked for international selection is one that makes sense given White’s recent history with the Three Lions and how football much the Arsenal star has played this season.
And after the international break, White will be back to his best as the defender aims to win the Premier League and UEFA Champions League for Arsenal in the final stretch of the season.
