Arsenal fans fuming with referee in Ipswich win

Arsenal supporters were left frustrated after a narrow win over Ipswich Town in their latest Premier League clash.

The Gunners came up against a stubborn away side at the Emirates Stadium, which has come as something of a common occurrence in recent matches.

Kai Havertz gave his team the lead in the first half with a close-range finish, though there weren’t many chances beyond that.

There was one moment when fans were frustrated with a decision made by the referee on the night due to a potential penalty decision.

Defender Gabriel Magalhaes was brought down by Liam Delap in the box, sparking fury over a missed spot-kick award.

Mikel Arteta reveals Bukayo Saka injury update

Arsenal have been handed an injury blow regarding Bukayo Saka as it’s been revealed that the star is likely to miss more than two months.

The winger picked up a hamstring issue against Crystal Palace, with the problem ruling him out against Ipswich Town.

With an absence of around two months expected, Mikel Arteta revealed that required surgery for Saka has complicated things.

He told the press: “He had a procedure, everything went well but unfortunately he will be out for many, many weeks… I think it will be more than two months, I don’t know exactly how much longer.”

It means a return isn’t expected until around March for the winger in the best-case scenario.

Arsenal stance on Matheus Cunha transfer

Arsenal have been linked with a move for Wolves striker Matheus Cunha ahead of the January transfer window.

The Brazilian has impressed in the Premier League, helping drag his side away from the relegation zone in recent matches.

The forward could, as a result, leave the club with the Gunners on the lookout for a striker who could improve their ranks.

According to The Athletic, Arsenal are long-term admirers of Cunha and could look at a potential deal for him.

It remains to be seen if a transfer could be completed in the coming weeks though, not least with Wolves’ current relegation battle.
