England cruised past Latvia at Wembley on Monday night, and in attendance to watch the comfortable victory was Arsenal star Bukayo Saka.
Goals from Reece James, Harry Kane and Eberechi Eze gave the Three Lions victory in Thomas Tuchel’s second match in charge.
The German’s side were impressive throughout, although their wide men, Marcus Rashford and Jarrod Bowen, struggled to impact the game against a resolute defensive block.
England clearly missed Saka, as have Arsenal in his absence, although the winger is understood to be finally nearing his return from injury.

Bukayo Saka spotted at England game amid injury return
Saka went down clutching his hamstring away at Crystal Palace on the 21st December, and hasn’t featured for the Gunners since.
The 23-year-old underwent surgery as part of his rehabilitation and has slowly been working his way back to full fitness.
Not included in Tuchel’s first England squad as he continues his recovery, Saka was in attendance to support the Three Lions in their World Cup qualifier on Monday night.
The Arsenal man shared a warm embrace with Tuchel inside the tunnel after the game, in what may have been the pair’s first encounter since the former Chelsea boss became England head coach.
Saka is expected to return from injury next week, with reports emerging indicating that he may even make the Gunners’ bench against Fulham next Tuesday.
However, it’s likely that Mikel Arteta will attempt to integrate the Hale End graduate slowly upon his return, to ensure he doesn’t relitigate the injury.
The goal will be to have Saka fit and firing for the Real Madrid Champions League tie, with the first leg on the 8th April.

Arsenal’s record without Bukayo Saka this season
Arsenal’s Premier League title chances have faded without Saka, with the Gunners now sat 12 points adrift of league leaders Liverpool with nine games remaining.
However, despite games often being difficult to watch, Arsenal haven’t fared too badly without their talisman.
| Arsenal’s record since Bukayo Saka’s injury (League only) | |
| Matches Played | 13 |
| Wins | 8 |
| Draws | 4 |
| Losses | 1 |
| Goals For | 24 |
| Goals Against | 9 |
West Ham beat Arsenal 1-0 at the Emirates, which was Arteta’s side’s only defeat in the league since Saka went down injured.
The North Londoners have won eight of their 13 league games without the player, whilst conceding just nine goals in that time.
Had he not sustained his hamstring issue, Arsenal may well have attained close to maximum points from these fixtures and they could’ve been in the title mix at this stage of the campaign.
The cup exits to Newcastle and Manchester United undoubtedly dampened the feeling around Arsenal’s form without Saka, but Arteta has, in reality, done remarkably well to attain the league points he has without his superstar.
