Arsenal are back in Premier League action as they face Oliver Glasner’s Crystal Palace side at the Emirates Stadium.

Eddie Nketiah could hand Liverpool the title as the former Hale End star returns to face Arsenal in North London for the first time in the Premier League since his summer switch.

Jorginho may have played his last game for Arsenal as Mikel Arteta gave a worrying fitness update on the Italian midfielder, whilst his fellow countryman Riccardo Calafiori is also still not ready for action.

The Gunners are expected to rest and rotate ahead of the clash but Declan Rice is one name that Arteta does not leave off the team sheet and he earned high praise from a fellow £100m star.

Enzo Fernandez loved watching Declan Rice

Speaking with his national side Argentina at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Chelsea’s £107m midfielder Enzo Fernandez revealed his admiration for Gunners star Rice.

Fernandez stated: “I try to watch a lot of football to learn from other players. Among those players I like to watch Declan Rice from England.”

Rice has been in sensational form for Arsenal, having scored 7 goals and assisted 10 in his 46 appearances across all competitions this season.

Martin Keown believes Arsenal underpaid for Rice and that the midfielder is getting ‘better and better’ with each game he plays and it is hard to argue with the former Gunners defender.

Declan Rice destroyed Enzo Fernandez last season

Fernandez may enjoy watching Rice play but he certainly doesn’t enjoy playing against him as the 26-year-old England international ‘destroyed’ the Argentine in a clash last season.

Arsenal defeated Chelsea 5-0 at the Emirates Stadium last season with Ben White grabbing a rare brace and Rice dominated Fernandez in midfield.

It feels as though Rice has taken his game to a new level since the turn of the calendar year and is revelling in the number eight role under Arteta.
