Arsenal stars have sent their best wishes to teammate Kai Havertz after the star confirmed his injury status on social media.
The striker joins the ranks of absentees at the Emirates Stadium, which includes plenty of stars from the forward line.
He joins the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka, who are all on the treatment table at the moment.
With Havertz’s injury set to keep him out for the season, there will be questions on how to replace him in the team going forward, with a return not expected until next pre-season.
There was some positive news though, with his surgery going well shortly after it was a confirmed problem by Arsenal.

Arsenal stars respond to Kai Havertz injury update
Taking to social media, Kai Havertz revealed his hamstring surgery went well, coming as a huge boost during a difficult time.
The forward claimed it had been a “tough” few days as he looks to start the long road to recovery ahead of him.
His Arsenal teammates took to the comments on his Instagram post to send their support.
Declan Rice was among the first to respond to Kai Havertz, commenting: “We are waiting for you [love heart emoji].”
Arsenal loanee Reiss Nelson followed with simply a love heart, along with Riccardo Calafiori, Gabriel Magalhaes and Oleksandr Zinchenko.
As a collective, those Arsenal players will now need to help fill the gap left by Havertz’s absence in the squad.

Arsenal injury updates and expected return dates
With Havertz now set for a long time away from the pitch, the list of absentees just grows even longer for Arteta.
He joins Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus as being out in the forward line, with Takehiro Tomiyasu is a long-term issue.
| Player | Injury | Expected return |
|---|---|---|
| Gabriel Martinelli | Hamstring | March |
| Bukayo Saka | Hamstring | March |
| Takehiro Tomiyasu | Knee | Unknown |
| Kai Havertz | Hamstring | Pre-season |
| Gabriel Jesus | Knee | Late-2025 |
Some of those injury concerns should ease in the next couple of weeks or so, which should make it easier for Arteta.
However, the cluster of issues in the forward lines, particularly at striker, will be the main concern to deal with.
It remains to be seen exactly how the side will cope, but the summer could prompt for further signings up there.
