Declan Rice and William Saliba have acknowledged Martin Zubimendi to Arsenal after the Spanish midfielder completed his long-anticipated move from Real Sociedad.
It’s about time! After what seemed like an eternity for Arsenal fans, Zubimendi was officially confirmed on Sunday by the Gunners.
Zubimendi is delighted to join Arsenal, and that’s a feeling that’s more than mutual from supporters in North London.
The Spaniard is another excellent addition to a plethora of exciting midfield options for Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal announced the signing on their Instagram, with a quite brilliant video from the media team commemorating the long-awaited arrival. They wrote: ‘Controlling the tempo. Martin Zubimendi is a Gunner.’
The video was well received by fans and current Arsenal first-team players, including William Saliba, Jurrien Timber and Declan Rice, who all reacted to the post with a like on their personal accounts.
Fellow new signing Kepa Arrizabalaga was also present, alongside Arsenal cult heroes Kieran Gibbs and Emmanuel Frimpong.

But just as Arsenal fans and players were joyous to see Zubimendi arrive, rival Sociedad fans also had to deal with the difficulty of seeing one of their star players depart.
The midfielder posted an emotional video montage with his former club, which will definitely pull on the heartstrings of the Spanish club’s supporters.
Former Arsenal star Kieran Tierney previously played with Zubimendi in La Liga, and he sent a message to the Gunners’ latest signing and commented on the post with a love heart.
Tierney thinks very highly of Zubimendi, previously lauding him as ‘world-class’, alongside current Gunner Mikel Merino.
“You have world-class players like Zubimendi, Merino, Brais [Mendez]. It’s not that people don’t think they’re good; it’s just that if you’re only watching the Premier League every week, it’s hard to know.
“They’re world-class, and for so many to come from the academy is incredible.”
Arteta now has this ‘world-class’ player at his disposal, and it’ll be a privilege to watch Zubimendi on his Arsenal debut at some point in the near future.
