Arsenal have had a stunning season in terms of their academy’s progress.
The emergence of Hale End duo Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly has perhaps been the most positive aspect of Arsenal’s season given their trophy disappointment.
Arsenal believe Marli Salmon is ‘special’ as the 15-year-old has made his mark on the U18 and U21 sides this season at centre back – even drawing comparisons with William Saliba.
Max Dowman has been praised by David Seaman for his performances in the Arsenal academy this season but Gunners midfielder Declan Rice has sent the youngster a message as he begins his career.

Declan Rice warning to Max Dowman
Rice’s Premier League nomination for player of the season is testament to his excellent performances this season under Mikel Arteta.
One noticeable improvement in Rice’s game has been his visible leadership amongst the Arsenal squad, often seen giving rallying cries before important matches.
The England midfielder is someone that youngsters look up to and it appears Rice is also taking Dowman under his wing following his recent comments.
As per The Athletic, Rice has warned Dowman that he still has a long way to go to become the player he wants to be.
Rice stated: “At 15, there is such a long way to go. You can be the best 15-year-old in the country, but it doesn’t necessarily mean you are going to be at 18.”
Ashley Cole has warned Arsenal fans over putting too much pressure on Dowman should he make a first-team introduction next season but with Rice by his side, the Hale End star knows he will be supported.
Max Dowman’s incredible form for Arsenal
Dowman is set to star for England’s Under-17 side at this summer’s European Championships as he heads into the tournament in scintillating form.
The 15-year-old helped to secure a third place finish for Arsenal’s U18 side this season and was on the scoresheet twice during a final day 3-0 victory over champions Aston Villa.

The brace against Aston Villa earned Dowman further praise from Adam Birchall and the Gunners coach chose to highlight his work rate in and out of possession.
It is expected Dowman will join the first-team for their pre-season fixtures this summer and he could be the next name to emerge from Hale End to take the Premier League by storm.
