The eight players nominated for the 2024/25 Premier League player of the season have been revealed.
With two games of the campaign remaining, talk regarding individual awards has begun.
Myles Lewis-Skelly has been backed to win the PFA Young Player of the Season, as Gary Neville lauded the Arsenal defender’s claim to the prize.
The 18-year-old has a good chance of collecting the award, and he’s not the only Arsenal player who could end the season with individual silverware.

Declan Rice nominated for Premier League Player of the Season
In the build-up to matchday 37 of the 2024/25 calendar, the Premier League announced the eight candidates for Player of the Season.
Arsenal received one nomination, as Declan Rice was picked as one of the top-performing players in the league this term.
One Gunners legend will agree with the nomination, as Ian Wright labelled Rice Arsenal’s Player of the Year for his efforts throughout the bustling campaign.
Despite Gabriel Magalhaes having a remarkable season, the rest of the Arsenal squad were snubbed for the award, with Rice being the Gunners’ only nominee.
Mohamed Salah, Chris Wood, Morgan Gibbs-White, Bryan Mbeumo, Ryan Gravenberch, Virgil van Dijk and Arsenal transfer target Alexander Isak made up the rest of the nominees.
To many, it will come as no surprise to see the England midfielder regarded as one of the best this season, as Jamie Carragher believes Rice has been ‘Arsenal’s best player’.
Who was the last Arsenal player to win Premier League Player of the Season?
It would be quite a feat to see Rice win the award this season, given the other nominees on the list.
Salah is surely the most likely to win the prize, having won the Premier League with Liverpool in a campaign that has seen the Egyptian contribute to 46 goals.
In the remarkable instance that Rice were to claim the award, he would join a prestigious list of only three Arsenal players.
| Season | Player |
| 2000/01 | Patrick Vieira |
| 2001/02 | Freddie Ljungberg |
| 2003/04 | Thierry Henry |
| 2005/06 | Thierry Henry |
Thierry Henry has won Premier League Player of the Season twice, with Patrick Vieira and Freddie Ljungberg also recipients.
The last time an Arsenal player collected the prize was Henry in 2006 on the back of a 27-goal season.
Will Rice stun everybody to be named Premier League Player of the Season? You’d have to say his chances look remarkably slim.
