Declan Rice has enjoyed a fine season at Arsenal, and Mikel Arteta will no doubt view the Englishman as a key figure in his team moving forward.

The midfielder has been excellent for the majority of the campaign, scoring nine goals and providing ten assists in 51 appearances across all competitions.

Arsenal fans think Rice has been the Gunners’ player of the season, and it’s certainly hard to argue against it, given the big moments he’s produced this term.

A charismatic character, the former West Ham man has the potential to become Arsenal’s captain one day, and should be at the heart of the North Londoners’ team moving forward.

Declan Rice reveals that he would leave the Premier League

Signing from West Ham for £100 million in the summer of 2023, there have been few question marks about Rice’s price tag.

Producing consistently impressive performances, Arsenal fans chant that they got Rice for half price.

The Gunners faithful will be eager to keep their midfield talisman for many years to come, although the England international has dropped a subtle hint that he would be open to leaving the club to move abroad one day.

Asked in an interview with the Wonderland Magazine whether he would ever leave the Premier League, Rice swiftly answered, “Yes”.

Perhaps setting alarm bells ringing for some Gunners fans, whether Rice would imminently leave N5 for another top club competing for the Champions League remains to be seen.

It’s not out of the question that one of Bayern Munich, Barcelona or Real Madrid could move for him in the near future, and this subtle response indicates that he could easily have his head turned by such a proposal.

However, he could equally be hinting that he would be open to finishing his career elsewhere, with the likes of the MLS and the Saudi Pro League being potential retirement homes for the box-to-box man.

Rice has enjoyed breaking into the box with late runs, with this new responsibility seeing him produce the best goal-scoring season of his career thus far.

However, he’s done this whilst maintaining every other aspect of his game to an elite level.

An excellent passer, ball carrier and creative player, Rice still manages to contribute defensively, despite doing a lot of good things in the final third in possession.

Extremely well-rounded, Rice could still go to another level again next season.
