Arsenal are still in the grips of a slight injury crisis in their defensive ranks following their draw with Everton on Saturday.

The Gunners were frustrated by the Toffees, who held firm to deny the home side from having any joy at the Emirates Stadium.

Jordan Pickford made several big saves, but Mikel Arteta’s team were unable to create many chances to open the visitors up.

Following Arsenal’s draw with Everton, there are some key injury updates to contend with before another big week of action.

Arsenal injury updates

Declan Rice

Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice is an injury concern after the star asked to be withdrawn from the match against Everton.

Speaking after the match, Mikel Arteta told the press: “He’s been with a little niggle for the last week or so and he asked to be taken off.”

There is some hope that Rice will be fit for Arsenal’s EFL Cup clash with Crystal Palace in midweek.

Gabriel Magalhaes

Gabriel Magalhaes was an injury doubt before the clash with Everton, but the defender managed to make it through the whole game on his return without any issues.

Whether Gabriel is fit enough to play another game for Arsenal in midweek is to be seen, given his recent issues with having to come off early in matches.

Riccardo Calafiori

Riccardo Calafiori has been dealing with a groin injury, which has caused him to miss out on the past few matches.

The same happened against Everton, with Arteta warning the defender against rushing to a return too soon.

He told the press about Calafiori: “We need a cage there because he [Calafiori] wants to go out, train and play. We need to calm him down because he is so willing.

“It is the way he is, the way he plays. It started with the national team with a kick, then he had the knee issue.

“After that, he lost a lot of things. Because of the injuries he had to play more than we wanted. And then he got the issue in his groin.”

Oleksandr Zinchenko

Another injury doubt in the backline, Oleksandr Zinchenko has been absent in the past week or so with a fresh issue.

The Ukrainian international missed out against Everton and could be missing again for the clash with Crystal Palace.

Ben White

Defender Ben White is a long-term injury doubt for Arsenal after he underwent a procedure to help deal with a running issue he had been suffering from.

Takehiro Tomiyasu

Takehiro Tomiyasu has also been out of action with a long-term injury, which has seen him spend time away from Arsenal recovering.
